Grove - ADC for load cell (HX711) allows you to easily read load cells to measure weight. By connecting the module to your microcontroller you will be able to read the changes in the resistance of the load cell, and with some calibration you will be able to get very accurate weight measurements. This can be handy for creating your own industrial scale, process control or simple presence detection.

This Studio Grove System is a modular, standardized connector prototyping ecosystem. The Grove System takes a building block approach to assembling electronics. Compared to the jumper or solder based system, it is easier to connect devices to an application, simplifying the learning system. The Base Unit, generally a microprocessor, allows for easy connection of any input or output from the Grove Modules. Each Grove Module typically addresses a single function, such as a simple button or a more complex heart rate sensor.
If there's no Grove connector on the board, a Grove Expansion Board can be added to attach the Grove modules. The Grove Expansion Board provides the processing power, and the modules offer the input sensors and output actuators of the system. There are many Grove Expansion Boards for different platforms, including Arduino UNO, Particle Phone, BeagleBone board, and more.
